Life is good and sometimes circumstances seem to make it even better! I had the opportunity last week to work with some animals in my old home town of Asheville, NC. I was invited to help promote Horse About, Inc. An organization that rescues horses, rehabilitates, and uses some of them in their riding program for under-privileged kids. The ones that don’t meet the criteria for working with these children are re-homed after their evaluation and recuperation period. There are a few that seem to have found their forever home there on the farm with Brigitte, Skip, and all the wonderful volunteers that bounce around doing various chores that keep the farm running efficiently, and effectively throughout the day.

We began our promo by doing a live radio talk show to introduce animal communication to those unfamiliar with two-way conversations using telepathy, or thought transference between beings of all species. We were fortunate to have two dogs show up on the premises with their people. These nice folks allowed me to “talk” with their critters during the show which allowed our listeners a little insight, not only into the dogs thoughts, however hopefully to understand that I wasn’t pulling anyone’s leg. I was actually communicating with these creatures using my ability as an animal communicator. While I was speaking with one dog about his exuberance while meeting people, the other popped up with a potential hip problem he wanted his people to be aware of that might become a problem later in his life. It was great to see these dogs were happy, well adjusted and very much loved by their people, and the love was returned ten-fold by the dogs.  Both were rescues!

Saturday began by doing a session with a horse rescued off a slaughter truck, although I didn’t know that at the time. This horse belongs to a gal that comes to the mountains to ride periodically, bringing her horse and boarding at Horse About while she’s in town. He showed me several areas in his body that need attention, one in his right hip where there’s restriction of blood flow. I’ve found through many years of working with animals that acupuncture works beautifully to open energy fields, and stimulate movement, so I suggested she consider that option. I worked with quite a few animals throughout that day and the next, some with behavioral issues, and others with medical that led to behavioral which happens to be very common if we’ll take a minute to think about it. Some animals have underlying issues that stem from incorrect or improper handling in their early training or something happened to cause a seemingly irrational fear of a certain situation. When we delve deeply into their minds by asking the questions correctly we find what caused this behavior and sometimes are able to help them release most of this anxiety and move forward without as much fear as they’ve exhibited at other times in those same situations. I worked with a Thoroughbred, retired off the track, that had a myriad of health and physical issues some stemming from a severe trailering accident many years ago. I was able to bring that accident to his conscious mind and through discussion help alleviate his anxiety of the same thing happening again. The difference in his attitude and presence was very apparent to all who were in attendance. Not every horse or animal shows as much difference after a session as that specific horse did in that moment. He was ready and willing for the help I was able to provide at that time. I’m very grateful I could be there for him…

We all had a delightful fun-filled weekend, shadowed by a few tears brought out by releasing some guilt and allowing good memories to replace the un-settled ones. We’re planning a workshop so all those folks can learn to “talk with the animals,” too! Hope you can join us for the “next” good time we have together!! We’ll keep you posted on time and date…
